Equalbase and DSV break ground on RM220M sustainable industrial facility

Penang, Malaysia, 26th September – Equalbase, headquartered in Singapore specializing in developing and managing modern, sustainable industrial logistics assets, officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for Valdor II. The multistorey warehouse, with a gross floor area of 620,000 square feet, is set to go live in 2025. DSV, a global logistics leader, has been confirmed as the anchor tenant of Valdor II.


Strategically located in Penang's industrial growth zone, Valdor II is closely connected to Batu Kawan and Bayan Lepas amongst other growing industrial areas, providing excellent ease of operations. Equalbase, together with its sister company Northmod focused on the investment management of the projects, forms the integrated platform Equalbase Northcrest.


ADUN of Bukit Tambun, YB Goh Choon Aik, officiated the groundbreaking ceremony alongside Equalbase and DSV.

Nicholas Bischoff Equalbase Development's CEO, said, “We are excited to expand our footprint in Penang with the launch of our Valdor II project. Valdor II will use low-carbon construction materials and energy-efficient technologies, targeting both LEED Gold and GBI Gold certifications for sustainable design.

With the conclusion of the groundbreaking ceremony, Valdor II becomes DSV’s first customized development in Malaysia and Equalbase’s next sustainable building in Penang.
